Exchange Your Life!!!

Did you know that the Christian life is an exchanged life? Jesus' life for your life. When you give Christ control of your life, your life will take on dimensions you would never have known apart from Him.

"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20

When we are weak, Christ demonstrates His strength in our life. When we face situations that are beyond our comprehension, we have only to ask, and the infinite wisdom of God is available to us. When we are faced with humanly impossible situations, God does the impossible. When we encounter people we find difficult to love, God expresses His unconditional love through us. When we are at a loss as to what we should pray for someone else, His Spirit will guide us in our prayer life. When Christ take up residence in the life of a believer, "All the fullness of God" is available to that believer!

It is awesomely freeing to know that God controls your life and knows what it can become! Instead of constantly worrying about what we will face, as many of us do, our challenge should be to continually release every area of our life to God's control. The temptation will be to try to d by ourselves only what God can do.

Friends, our assignment is to "abide in the vine" and to allow God to do in and through us what only He can do. Remember, only God can be God! Allow God to live out His divine life through you. He is the only One who can. It takes discipline, but once you give control of you life over to Christ completely, you will start to enjoy the abundant life He has in store for us all!

May God richly bless you today!! H Trent!

We Are Royal Priests!!!

If you are a Christian, you are a priest, chosen by God. As members of the royal priesthood we have constant access to the King. If there is ever a need in our life, we don't have to find an intermediary or enlist another priest in order to gain a hearing from the King. Our position as royal priests allows us direct access. This privilege describes our position as a priest. "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." 1 Peter 2:9. We need to also understand that priests also have a function. It is the responsibility of a priest to work within a priesthood. Scripture does not promote the practice of individual priests, each with a separate ministry. Priests are supposed to function together. (Lev. 9:1). An unbiblical sense of individualism can isolate us from functioning within God's royal priesthood as He intend...

Thinking About Calling Down Fire!?!

James and John were refered to as "the Sons of Thunder" in the Bible. When they discovered a Samaritan village that would not receive Jesus, they were fully prepared to call down fire to consume the entire community. "And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, "Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?" Luke 9:54. Maybe they felt that through such a show of power, the gospel message might be enhanced. The two brothers were willing to sacrifice the lives of the village in order to further the cause of the gospel. However, Jesus rebuked them! Later, the apostles heard that Samaria had responded to the gospel. Guess who was commissioned to go and help them receive the Holy Spirit? None other but Peter and John! It was God's purpose that the people not be destroyed but saved! God chose not to rain down fire on the village, but to shower it with His Holy Spirit! I wonder what w...

Our Spiritual Preparation!!!

This weekend I had the pleasure of having a study lesson with an incredible teacher! She was very wise and had an incredible anointing of the Spirit upon her. One of the things that stuck with me was when she was talking about how important it is to be in God's Word and how there was a time when she couldn't sleep past 2:30 in the morning that she found herself praying deeply and pouring through God's Word in ways she had never done before. It was only later, after her husband was diagnosed with terminal cancer, that she realized that the Lord had been preparing her spirit for the trial that lay ahead. That is the key today! There is no substitute for spiritual preparation! Had she not prepared herself through God and His word, she wouldn't have had near the courage or strength to go through what lay before her. Spiritual preparation equips us for unforeseen crises or opportunities. However, if we are unprepared spiritually, we will be vulnerable to life's unexpecte...
